Terms of
Enrollment
This institute offers
two kinds of courses for
national and international students who are willing to learn Persian
Language. The courses are as follows:
Intensive term and Long semester.
The Intensive terms consist of 6 terms: Elementary (1 &2),
Intermediate (1 &2) and Advanced (1 &2).
The Long semesters consist of 4 semesters: Elementary, Intermediate (1 &2) and
Advanced.
Intensive terms
which are held in the morning, from Saturday to Wednesday
consist of 15 hours per week which lasts six weeks.
Long semesters
which are held in the afternoon, on even days consist of 6
hours per week which lasts about three and a half months.
Both courses
from Elementary to Advanced take approximately nine months
for which international students will need to extend their visas.
The
applicants in this institute fall into three categories:

Group
A:
Includes those foreign
applicants who require the help of the Center in order to obtain
their student visa. This visa will allow the applicant to enter
the country and is needed to be renewed upon arrival.

Group
B:
Includes
Iranian nationals and naturalized Iranian applicants.

Group
C:
Includes
Foreigners holding an Iranian residence visa/ permit, such as
the embassies’ personnel and their families or staff members of
companies and their families
and foreign students who
study at Iranian universities and Turkish Nationals.

A
Notification
Student Visa
Issuance Procedure: Once
you have sent us the personal data form and all the other five
required documents, your application will be submitted to the
Admission Committee. In case of their approval, the Center will
contact the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) who will then
authorize the Iranian embassy in your country to grant you a student
visa; afterwards, a letter of invitation and your visa authorization
number will be sent to you. You will have to wait for them to
announce their decision to the embassy of I.R. of Iran in the
country you are applying from.

All sent
documents should be completed and typed in English, as the
Admission Committee will not take incomplete documents into
consideration.

Personal data
form should preferably be filled out in typescript.
-
The six
required documents must be sent to the Center at least four
months prior to the course start the applicant is
applying for.
-
ICPS can only
make an application to the
MFA
for your visa issuance and is not
responsible for its delay and CANNOT hasten it.
-
The approved
applicant is strongly advised to wait for MFA’s response and our
notice and not to arrange any flight ticket prior to their
decision announcement.
-
Students
wishing to continue their studies at the Center beyond the
initial term may benefit from the Center’s services to extend
their visas. Such students will have to enroll in the next
course/semester and pay the tuition fee accordingly.

ICPS
DOES NOT register those who have entered the country on
a tourist visa.

page which is the type of visa being stamped on your
passport upon arrival.
Ways to send
the first six required documents:
The documents can be sent in three different ways as follows:

Absenteeism:
Students with more than three inexcusable absences will not
be eligible to extend their visas and therefore should leave Iran.
Accommodation:
The applicants who are willing to settle in the Dormitory of Tehran
University or Dormitory of Danesh Pazhuhan of Shahid Beheshti
University will be given an introduction letter after
registration procedure is done. Undoubtedly, the accommodation
depends upon the dormitories’ vacancies.

Note:
250.000 Rials = 25.000 Tomans. 1000 Tomans is almost 1 US
dollar.

Almost 10%
discount is given on Danesh Pazhuhan dormitory’s charges to ICPS
applicants.

Housing
expenses and other costs are approximately between 7,000,000 to
13,000,000 Rials (about € 800-€ 1500) per semester (Of course,
how much you will need depends greatly on your lifestyle and
what you plan to do while you are in Iran).

Housing
expenses does not include meals.
-
The dormitory
expenses are for a month
-
Using the
internet is possible in the dormitory and ICPS.
-
In case the
mentioned dormitories are fully reserved, we can help you find a
suitable guest house or hotel.
Travelling in
Iran: Students who intend
to visit Iranian cities other than Tehran must receive an official
permission from ICPS and travel to those cities during weekends,
official holidays or the interval between two semesters.
B.
Group
B:
Includes Iranian nationals and naturalized Iranian
applicants.
Applicants who fall into this category do not need to send us any
documents; they just need to come for registration and submit the
required documents a week prior to the course start.

Iranian ID card or Iranian passport;

Three ID-sized
photographs (should be submitted upon registration in the
Center);

(should be paid upon registration in the Center– See Fee
Policy).
C.
Group
C:
Includes Foreigners holding an Iranian residence visa, such
as the embassies’ personnel and their families or staff members of
companies and their families
and foreign students who study at Iranian universities.
Applicants who fall into this category do not need to send us any
documents; they just need to come for registration and submit the
required documents a week prior to the course start.

Letter of
introduction from your respective embassy or company;

Two copies of
passport information and the page with Iranian visa/ residence
permit;

Two copies of
the embassy ID card (where relevant) and ID card issued by the
Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to foreign residents and
their families;

Three ID-sized
photographs (should be submitted upon registration in the
Center);

Tuition fee
(should be paid upon registration in the Center – See Fee
Policy).
Turkish
nationals who are willing to study in Iran do not need a student visa to stay in
Iran for three months and are considered as group C applicants. It
is evident that their tuition fee shall be paid according to
group C applicants.

Rules and
Regulations
-
Ladies
photographs must be veiled.
-
All enrollees,
who have some knowledge of Persian language, will be given a
placement test on arrival to assess their language level,
followed by an interview. They are then placed in a class that
matches their language needs.
-
ICPS
DOES NOT issue certificate for the students with more
than three inexcusable absences and will not permit them to
register for upcoming semesters.
-
In
accordance with Tehran university admission regulations,
International students must meet and pass Persian learning
course as a prerequisite unit to be admitted in Bachelor, Master
or PhD of other majors.

Fee Policy
-
Tuition fees
for each course must be paid according to ICPS regulations.
-
In case of
late arrival or early leave, due to personal or academic
problems, the tuition fee shall be fully paid.
-
Tuition fee
shall be paid in advance at the beginning of each semester.
-
All enrollees
must receive a copy of bank receipt at ICPS and pay their
tuition fee to the ICPS account at the “Tejarat” bank personally
and return the receipt to the center. Credit cards are not
acceptable.
