Sacred Defense (War) Museum and Students of UT International Center for Persian Studies
UT International Center for Persian Studies students visited Sacred Defense (War) Museum on Sep 19, 2016. Sacred Defense Garden-Museum is in Tehran and includes 7 Chambers and an ending Hall. These 8 sections recall 8 years of Iran Sacred Defense against the enemy. Also, the number 7 is a sacred number in Iranian culture as well as recalling the 7 war steps of Rustam, the great Iranian Hero in Ferdowsi’s Shahnameh. Accompanied by the museum guide, the non-Iranian Persian learners of the center, coming from countries like Switzerland, Germany, England and France, visited different parts of the museum. International Center for Persian Studies of University of Tehran is located in Dehkhoda Institute in northern Tehran.
